Check out the two Extras from Fliton that fall into your range. I have the larger Edge 540 Freestyle (.60 size) converted and it flys GREAT!

SJ -
The Edge is probably too big for your set up. I have a Rimfire 50-65-450 running on a Flightpower 5s1p 5000 and Mystery 80A ESC in mine. My AUW is just under 7 lbs. I get 800-900 watts on an APC 16x10E, but I think I need a little more prop to get 1000 watts. Unfortunately, Fliton has stopped making thier Freestyle line (.60 size glow) and seems to be concentrating on their slightly smaller "large parkflyer" line (which doesn't really fit into the AMA's parkflyer criteria).
Your set up seems like it would fit their AJ Extra 330S or their new JG Extra 260. Otherwise, you may try Hyperion or Extreme Flight RC. They both have nice ARFs in the 50" wingspan range.
What didn't you like about the AJ Extra? I know my Edge was tough to balance, but once I got the CG dialed in, it flys like a giant-scale.
Good luck on your search. Keep us posted on your descision. - TT

Take a look at 3-D Hobby, they sell really well built planes, that fly excellently. The 47" line would work great with your 2200's.

Just bought an E-flite Ultra Stick 25E. I maiden it yesterday afternoon. It was a little windy, so could not trim it properly but it flew great. It weights about 3-1/2 pounds (flying weight).

Cermark extra, you wont be disapointed, despite the price tag. You want the 49" one, not the meter sh***te

If you want to fly as if you just set your hair on fire - get a 47" 3DHobbyshop Velox..recommended on 4S but the lighter 3S setup is supposed to be _REALLY_ fun.

Don't know much about it, but I picked one up since they were on such a huge discount -

Can you post some pictures of the kit? It looks pretty interesting.
