i posted this in the Classic Pattern forum, maybe it'll do better here.... ive never used silk in my life...and i hear dope is what is used to make it "stick" i have fiberglassed a but with epoxy resin...so it might not be that bad...... what the best place to buy silk for rc airplanes, and dope?

I recently purchased a Miss Norway built from plans in the late 70's ... it is a 60 size, it has foam core wings , and a balsa fuse covered with silk and dope and painted... never been crashed... the only problem with it is the silk in the wingtips is brittle, and needs to be repaired.... since this is a vintage airplane and im in no rush and want it done the right way, id like some ideas on how to go about doing it the right way ,,,,,please...... attached are some poor quality phone pics..... ill get my camera back in a couple of days and post some real pics

*edit* is there anything i can do to make the aged white, white again?

Very classic lines on that airframe! Nice find! If no one here can help you... Go to the 1/2a & 1/8a forum. Those guys are the most experienced with the ancient art of silk and dope and are very helpful. I'm sure they will apreciate the classic plane you have as well even if it is not 1/2a.
