hi,
trying to put a first charge on a lipo, 11.1v 1250mah 20c battery.
hooked up to a charger Hobbico Accucycle Elite +balancer, battery has balancing connector.

input the battery parameters. I am almost certain it calculated a charge rate of .25a

the charger auto-ended with the battery at 12.6v and 722mah.

what's up? I read the directions multiple times, but I have no idea why this happened. I did see the charge voltage of 4.2v per cell which would account for the 12.6V reading, but I don't understand why a 1250mah battery would end with a 722mah capacity reading on the charger.

thanks for helping, as much as I read I obviously know nothing when it comes to a real world problem.

yolt.

U,

most li-po packs come from the vendors at around a 50% charge so your numbers sound pretty close to what they should be if it is a new pack.

oh boy am I an idiot. so you mean that reading is not the total capacity, but the capacity the charger was able to deliver? I guess that makes sense....
thanks a LOT for the reply...

To give you an idea, after a good flight you may put back in 900 to 1000 MA according to your charger. You never want to deplete you batt. completely, and your 12.6 volt reading is the optimum for a fully chareged batt.
