go go go inspector gadget, it would work of couse...but you have to buy an aftermarket opnion gears(3$)....

Where do I buy gears?

Would the motor give more torque is the question?

Sure, it's essentially the same as black capped motors. Make sure you cool the board with a fan and or heatsink if it's a 13.

Already there with cooling, I just need to know where to get gears now for the shaft.

Ebay and Tower too. ThomasJohnMurphy has been using 8 or 9 tooth pinions and loves the torque advantage he's getting from them.

easy piecy. he is from USA if not from cananda. My shippings indicated he shipped from USA. It should not cost you more than 6$ per gear.
Its worths it.....

I don't know either but I am also surprised that no one has chimmed in!? Maybe Willy will catch this thread and educate us? Heck maybe I need to get into selling motor and pinions it doesn't seem like we have many options!

ha, I caught yopu on my hotmails. yes , go for T9 mate. T8 is too small and sliped all the time. I have had used t9 for two tanks. No problem..go go go and buy it.

Turbo beast, what pitch I used??? But I can guarrante you it fits both tamiya and hl gear box very well. T9 only. T8 is a little too samll, it would still fit but too much motor mount mods and alignment..So stick to T(9 you will be fine...

I just ordered my motors and pinions for the King Tiger...


I hope this works good..


I have the stock gearbox for the King Tiger up for grabs right now if you know anybody who needs one.

I've used the 8T pinion (like everyone else, not to sure what the pitch is) I did have to modify the motor mounting holes (where the screw hold the motor to the gear box)

Yes, the HL gear box. I just drilled out the mounting holes a bit as well as the hole where the motor fits in as it has to be moved a bit closer to the first drive gear
