I posted this in the Kit building forum but didn't get any feed back.. so, I thought I'd try here.

Not long ago I had a nice incidence with my GP Matt Chapman 580 .46 size where the Hinges gave way on the Aileron. in stead of giving way all together it made my plane into a nice wind toy drifting here and there and eventually contacting the ground in a heap. I think $110 is a bit much for just the wing so I am going to rebuild mine - I hope. Then again, perhaps someone has the other side they would be willing to give up..

OK back to work...

I lost the outer panel of my wing. I need to remake 7 ribs. I have one side of the wing totally intact. Is there a "best" way of remaking the ribs? Tracing?? Should I just take the whole thing apart?

Any insights would be great..

Thanks

Jeff E

Take it apart back to the center of the wing and build another 1/2 wing, join the 2 halfs and you will have a new wing.

Cheers
