Who has a good source for cheap Lipos... and by cheap I mean lost cost.. not cheaply made and will burn down my house or heli... so far I haven't found a place that can beat Hobby City.. I've used the HXT brand and will be ordering a couple Zippy 3300mah 25C 6S1P as soon as they get back in stock... that is of course someone can point me towards good batteries at a great price...

I received my first three packs from Hobby City last week. 6s 3300 zippy. One was DOA. My TP 210 could not ballance it to safe levels. I was disapointed to say the least. I guess I will pay for the name brand in the future.

I have (4) of the red $20.00 2200 lipo's. So far they work well. I am not pulling high loads with them in my MX450 or my HBK2. They hold a good charge and balance well. For the money I am very happy with them. The order took 11 days to get to me from the time I ordered them to the day they showed up.

No I have not. I just discovered the problem last night. Good idea, I will email them. If it means shipping to and from China I am out of that game.

did you email them about it? did you ask for a credit or refund? a lot of people order back ordered items from them just so they'll get one sent as soon as it comes in (happens with batteries all the time)..

They say I have to ship it back to them. I will just take the hit and shop someplace else.

Update: I got a tip from HF forum to try a slow .3 ma charge on my pack that would not ballance. I did that on my TP 1010 with the 210 ballancer on it. The pack charged full and the 210 shows it ballanced! I am thrilled. I will be flying that pack on a break in schedule today and will report back but all seems well. I am a very happy person.

I have been using 4 of the zippy 3300's from hobby city on my hurricane 550 and am getting 9- 10 min flight times. I also use 4 of the herxtronic 2200 on my blackhawk 450 and they are on there 2nd season and still work great.
for the 3300's they where only $41 each, I'll be ordering 4 more as soon as they are back in stock!
