F76,

At 9.7 you are getting close to the nominal(1.2 v/cell) voltage for your battery pack. At 8.8 (1.1v/cell) the voltage will begin to drop rapidly.

The procedure I follow is to do a C/10 charge when the voltage gets close to 9.6. It will not hurt to do a C/10 at present time. Needlessly charging from 10.something is probably superfluous. Actually, a C/10 the night before your next flying day would be good.

SilverFox provided a lot of information about fast-charging NiMh cells of which I was unaware. C/10 or .5C to 1C??? It probably depends upon the sophistication of your charger.

From experience I know that your cells will live long and prosper with appropriately applied C/10 charges. Perhaps some folks with first-hand experience with high-rate charges on your 2100 NiMhs will provide some information.

Glad your new pack is working well!!

Ok, new question. I bought a Hangar-9 260 27% and it came with everything in it. It has 2 1800 Mah 6.0volt RX batteries in it. Just use the C/10 rule and charge them up?? this plane had been sitting for a little over a year, it was an estate sale. So all the batteries were stone dead.
