Hi Guys,

Does anyone here have any experience with the hand-built Schroeder .04 Twin engine?? It was designed by Roger Schroeder, and uses the pistons / cylinders / heads from the C*x Pee Wee .02 engines, while the crankshaft / crankcase are custom-made.........

Hi Dr. D... Whattya need to know? I don't own one, but I know the engine you're talking about. Ron C. has some info about it on his website along with the contact information for Roger.

Hope this helps,

Hi,

I own one, but have only run it once. On mine, the crankshaft was made by Roger Schroeder himself, and the crankcase and assembly was done by none other than the world-famous AJ Coholic. ;-) Whereas the original design called for the use of the venturi and NV from a C*x TD .049, mine employs the carburetor from a G-Mark .03 R/C engine, and the addition of two very rare C*x .02 mufflers.

If I recall correctly, RPM with a Kay-Sun 5 x 3 prop and 30% fuel was about 12.5K, although I may have had it over-propped? The opening in the original carb was only about 1/16", so I bored the carb barrel out to 3/32", but never ran it again after that to check on the RPM data.....

Recent finincial circumstances may force me to sell it. ;-( If anyone is interested, I would accept $300, plus postage. You can contact me directly at Tim_Atkins@Verizon.net.

Dementia or not that's a rather unsmooth way of bumping an interest before a sale...

Wow, that's kind of how it came across to me too... (plus I feel like a sucker for taking the bait).

Sorry, that's not how it was intended...... I'm also interested in hearing from anyone else who might have one.
