I've heard of clubs that put up old planes and "shoot" them out of the air. Might be more dramatic!

What, no marshmallows?

Nice send-off. I can remember building and flying Guillows rubber models when I was a kid, then letting them go off the 2nd story lit up for a last crash&burn.

you can switch to paintball guns if suburbia gets too close. that was one of the fun things that was done last weekend at our club's family day. there were a lot of deer hunters apparently taking their out of season frustrations out on a couple of old planes. thousands of paintballs were wasted trying to bring the old planes down.

Dave, Nice send off.

David, The paintball gun thing sounds like fun.
Do you get extra points for shooting the pilot?

Oh shoot ... I "BURNED THE WRONG PLANE".

"Was I suppose to remove the radio equipment first. "

"Do Norwegian's stomp their planes to give them a "New World send off"?"

Hope to be able make a plane last long enough to actually do this too.

get a trainer that flies slow and let 'er rip. it took many paintball guns and many slow passes before the 1st plane lost her vertical stab and rudder and nosed over into the runway. i personally did not partake but it was fun to watch.
