Hi guy's! Yes i did search for an answer and didnt see one.
Okay i want to run a Beetle shell on my marder which i know also requires the black tub you need to mount to the chasis. My question is does anyone run the shell with a pipe and how much cutting might be needed.?? All the pic's i see in th FG catalog show the marder beetle without a pipe so that didnt help me any.. Also if anyone has a pic i can guide by that would be great! Thanks

Karl

I had to cut my Jeep body (with stadium mounts) for an FG pipe, I would think either raising the mounts or cutting the body would be req'd. Our MB is on an MT chassis(front end) so it is high enough likely???

I bet that jeep shell looks good on your marder! Ill see what happens.

Themain reason why im switching over shells is im tired of bust the wing to crap from suprisingly fast wheelies in the grass.. Also the beetle shell looks great... Suposidly the beetle shell is the strongest for off-road that FG has out.

The Beetle shell is VERY tough! I actually have the Jeep and Volkswagen bodies on MB set up chassis's tho. My Marder had too much traction for grass as well so I just use more worn spikes on the turf. Good luck to you, a bit of ingenuity or $$ for the MT conversion (quite a few parts actually to buy new) I am not sure where but I have seen an exploded pic of the Marder Beetle somewhere??? Sorry

you cant use the ddm dominator with the tub..

i had the same dilema..i was running an off road beetle shell and tub..the ddm doesnt fit in the sheel or tub..it will fit the monster beelte shell because that deosnt use a tub and the rear of the car is already cut away.

if you have the off road beetle shell and tub the ONLY pipe you can run without trimming anything is the SAMBA pipe. ALL the other pipes require cutting. i learned the hard way, i bought the ddm, so i had to swap with a forum member for a samba.

Dam.... I was liking the fender flarer on my marder beetle shell too.... ( awww man, Well hows does the monster beetle shell fit on the marder without the tub??? Just the same four holes as the marder buggy shell uses?

I do have a Samba pipe in my parts collection that i used to run, it's in great shape but im not trying to ditch the DDM pipe... that baby is waaay to potent )
