Hi I brought Baja clone from Ebay. It is not a King motors. It is a KL model www.kalee.com. Do you guys know much about them? It looks good. It has a 28.5cc motor that is why I got it realy. The rest of the electronics are not real good like the other clones. The survo seems ok. I will run it till is brakes than replace it with a beter one. I will pritey much do the same for the rest of the buggy. I ran it to day it runs good but just needs some tuning

I like the wing. I wouldn't wait for a failure to replace the servo, if you think it's inadequate. The servo is the only connection between your fingers and what direction and at what speed the car is travelling. If the throttle servo fails, and you WOT into someone's leg, I'll come visit you in prison. Of course I'm just joking, but you never know.

Did it come with the black window mesh?

Can you make a video of it?

Yes I can it may be a little while as I'm a farmer and we are in the midle of sowing seed at the moment. It is how it came in the pick's. I got it for $750 in cluding post in Australia. It came with the mesh and the black body. I liked the blue anno on the web site. mine has plane aloy of the chassy. On the site they only have it as a 23cc and with the read body. The bloke I brought it from siad it was a speshal edition one. I havent run it veary much yet as I'm busy with the farm. I will let you know when I learn more about it. What is good and what is bad. I have all ready found the body is fearly brital. I have found that before with cheep rc's. Aparently nobody nows much about them than?

Well, it depends how much it has in common with the real HPI Baja. We know a lot about the real deal, but basically, unless someone provides us with detailed pics, we don't know what the differences are. This is certainly the first I've heard about the car, but I can't say I spend much time looking at clones in general.

Here's a list of things it would be interesting to see, if you can grab some more photos...

Inside of the wheels
Thickness of shock shafts
Inside radio box
Underneath the gear cover
Clutch
Is it mostly hex screws or phillips?
Carburettor and engine

And if you get around to taking out the diff (I suggest you do, in order to check if it has any oil in it, as even the HPI does not, as standard), then a photo of that would be good too.

That will help us give you a good assessment of how it compares to the real deal, if you fancy taking the time. If you look at jtkntz's thread about the KM, you can see the type of questions people were asking.

Also, after you run it, check if there's any evidence of the corners of the rear lower a-arms rubbing on the inner beadlocks of the rear wheels, as this happens on the HPI car, and really needs axle extenders to solve.

I have some answer for you. Shock shafts are 5mm, It has Hex screws through out. The rims are rubing but on the top rear on the hex that holds the top arme to the hub carier.

Where can I get the spaces from. Just save me from looking every where.

There is nothing on the motor.
Ill tack some more picks when I get some more time.
They say you can change the diff oil on the site. But I dont know what is in it yet. I thought there was oil.
The drive shafts are thick dog bone drives with no bots. Are hpi baja's dog bone with bots or CV'c?

Dogbones; a CVD that can handle the the torque of a gas engine has yet to be created and probably never will, due to unreasonable cost and little tangible benefit.

the wing is something i want on mine , and the front bumper is better than what you get on a original hpi baja , wheels looks cheap rubbish , shock caps is nice blue but not good if ya know what i mean lol , overall appearance of this clone is pretty excelent for the price of it , if i was gonna get one it would not take long for me to change a few bits on that to make it solid as ive got lots of spares lol

I love that wing. I am fairly interested in what this thing is as I never heard about it. It would be interesteing in the parts changeability with a KB. Can you take a bunch of close up shots like mine (http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_7249314/tm.htm)? That would be great. Like I said I like that wing and the wheels look cool but probably crap as well. Kinda like the blue as well.

Just some differences from the webpage:
Rear wheels: 170X90mm HPI: 170X80mm
Length: 820mm HPI: 817mm

Width : FRONT 460mm / REAR 480mm HPI: FRONT 460mm / REAR 480mm
Height : 255mm HPI: 255mm
Wheelbase : 570mm HPI: 570mm
Weight : 9600g HPI: 9.6kg (9600g)
Ground Clearance : 65mm HPI:76mm
Engine : 23cc gasoline engine

I contacted them maybe I could score a free one to put a review on it. Lousy chance but it can't hurt to try can it?

$750 I like my $550 KM better bet you can get the wing for $10-15 plus ship

Why would you want to change parts inbetween this and the KM??? .....The tiawan made Hpi baja parts are stronger

anything alloy on our buggies... you can make it any color you want anodizing it or powercoating...not expensive at all

Nice buy man ....I hope you enjoy your buggy..... get a dominator pipe youll love the increased performance
