restart your tuning back to the factory settings ... check for air leaks (bubbles) in the fuel line esp around the filter ...make sure the fuel line does not touch the engine at any point, if all that is good you may need to seal your engine with rtv silicone but more that likely its in the tuning

Did you break in the engine or are you just running it out of the box? Do you have the body on or off? Overheating means you are running lean, you have air leaks or not enough airflow from the body. or all of the above.

I dont think you are having trouble tuning, because you must be good at the hobby. (you have more trucks than me) so im thinking its a tuning thing. To test the fuel line for leaks: Take the pressure line off of the exaust and the fuel line off of the carb. Pinch the line as hard as you can on the fuel side (that was on the carb) and put the line that was on the exaust in your mouth and blow. If you hear a hissing near the tank or fuel filter than you have a leak.

good luck
