I have Cmpro Piper J-3 CUB 1 / 4 scale.
Install electric motor regulator ESC and 8S batteries in Piper.I have not try fly yet.
I use the Hitec Optic 6 and receiver HPD-07RH. But I worry that the Optic 6 is good for big giant model airplane?
Or only for small model airplane?

I have no concern whilst using an Optic 6 (with HFD-08RD receiver) to fly a 1/4 scale Sig J3 fitted with an O.S. FS.120Slll. After normal pre-flight range tests, any concern with your model would be the same if using any other RC system and EP aircraft - usually electrical noise, insufficient power to servos or binding of servos.
Electronic Speed Control - Why BEC and LVC cause most EP RX problems.
For further information which may ease any worries regarding your installation, please refer to sub sections "Receiver - FAQ, guides and aids to best reception" and "Glitches & Jitter in RX & Servo - causes and cures " at

I'm flying a 1/5 scale Hangar 9 cub that is powered by an electric motor and my radio is an Optic 6. I have never had any problems. There is no reason why you can't use this radio in any model airplane whether it's large, small, gas or electric powered.
