Status: offline 		Well, Impact finally listened to me. I have persuaded them, after
signicant arm twisting and sniveling and whining, to produce a
little device for those of us who need a tester for the TBS. This
little gem is a hand held emmiter. It uses Tamiya protocol, and the
system is as stable as the Tamiya system. The pulse, or emmision, is
the same freq as Tamiya, and the emmision time is one second, same
as Tamiya. The emmiter is more powerful than the Tamiya one, and has
less dispersion. The actual specs are confidential, and the info I
have is all that will be released at the moment. Needless to say, I
am sure some of you will promptly use the components to make a
static arty piece workable with the emmiter, for instance an 88 on
the battlefield, or a mine.

You can check it now posted on youtube, the hand held emmiter is
seen in testing. Range in bright sun is 21m. Range in overcast or
indoors is in excess of 50m. Impact will produce this little item,
etoarmour will have it under the number ETO014. Price will be under
$60. It will come as a quasi kit, in that all the electronics will
be 100% assembled. You will simply have to drill the holes in the
box provided for the switches and the led indicator. Power connector
provided is for the standard 9v battery, however the system will
also work on 7.2v with no problems. Tests indicate that range with
7.2v is actually somewhat more than with 9v.

This is Impact's first venture in to electronics, but assuredly not
the last.
