Hey ,

I want buy second engine for my x1x crt , now I have OS V-spec(it have enough power) , but I need second engine.

And now :

Grp .21 have great fuel economy , but it is powerful enough?

Grp .28 I dont know anything about economy of this engine , power is same as ninja .28.

So which is better for truggy?

The .21 should be ample unless you have enormous open tracks, I run a Ninja 21 in my 8T and its smokin fast

A buddy has the Ninja 28 in an 8T and that thing is just silly fast with tons of bottom end to boot. A total blast to drive. It was getting about 8 minutes to a tank. If it were me, just judging by how much power that .28 had, a .21 should suit you just fine. The 28 seems like overkill unless you're running on big tracks like the Nitro Pit or something

Though I tried a .28 briefly it has been my experience that anything short of running on a track with really sticky or deep dirt that a .21 is all the motor you need and just as fast as a larger one as 21s are higher revving. But the big advantage I've noticed is compared to any of my buddies running bigblocks is that I get about 10-15% better fuel mileage.

The Ninja/GRP 28 is about th eonly 28 I would run in a truggy, its top end sacrifices nothing!

Saw my first GRP .21 engine run yesterday in a buggy. Tremendous torque. Gave him troubles in the turns. Broke the wheels loose very easy and caused him to spin and fish tail. Better throttle control once he gets used to it will help. It struggled a little on the long straight. But a little gearing adjustment should cure that. I was very impressed witht the engine. I didnt bring my buggy over to compare, but I have a .21 V-spec and I swear his engine looks HUGE.

I run the GRP .28. It's the first .28 I have ever tried as I have run .21's previously. I am extremely impressed at the broad range that this .28 produces power across. I can't wait to see the dyno on this thing to see if its just me or if this thing really has that broad of a powerband. I read all of the horror stories about .28's producing to much power and that you'll break the tires loose more then you'll hook up. This may be true with some, but I haven't found this to be the case on the GRP so far. It seems to have a real linear power delivery. I think GRP is onto to something here with regards to a new era of .28 mills. We'll see.

that motor is the same as the Ninja 28.... it can be an animal depending on what pipe is used........the GRP pipes will severely choke those motors back and make them very mild....a GRP 28 on a GRP pipe will barely feel much stronger then a .21............... drop the GRP pipe and use a MSR 1005,053 or 086 and th emotor will make way more power and RPM..

Isnt the crt quite heavy compared to an eight? You might need a 28 to really pick up and haul a crt.
