I totally agree. I mean the fact that Kyosho hasn't just jumped on the 8ight band-wagon is gotta be telling you something.
I guess I was expecting a car that followed the current trend a little more. But then again, that trend may mean throttle servo problems

ProRCRacer, I know from your earlier thread elsewhere that you use the Losi tire glue and had a bad bottle, hence the tires blowing off. If you don't mind me asking, what's wrong with the Kyosho tire glue? I'm personally asking around to try and find out which glue people prefer, think is the best and which i should be using.

Thanks mate.

Kyosho is the most overrated brand out there, only reason Kyosho is so d_mn hyped is that theyve branded (can afford) good drivers.

The driver does 90% of the work, 10% at the absolute most, is in the car .

LOL. KYOSHO IS THE BEST.

Hey TommyGun,
The reason I didn't use Kyosho glue is actually quite simple. We were out of stock.
I really really like the Kyosho Glue, it's not for everybody as it is very thin and dries very quickly almost instantly in some cases. But if you are adept to it and don't make a mistake it results in very fast and solid results. I would say that 90% of the people that I have convinced to try the Kyosho glue have said that they won't use another glue again. They liked it that much!
Regards,
-Ryan

OK, I think i get it now....the thinner the glue, the faster it bonds and dries? If that's the case with Kyosho tire glue, then it would seem to me that you wouldn't even need rubber bands (or Panther straps) to hold the tires in place while everything sets.

You really don't if the tire conforms to the wheel nicely. The New Soon to be released AKA brand of tires and wheels is just like that. I glue them up without tire bands with the kyosho glue. It's just not necessary! ;-)

ProRCRacer21, I'm going to guess you may have had a set to R&D them or test them? What was your opinion of them compared to the current race tires on the market?

Yes I am actually the team manager for AKA and Kyosho. I have gotten to run them quite a bit. They gave me the fastest lap time of the entire A-main at the Buggy Nationals before my little issue.
Everyone who has tried the tires has said they are absolutely amazing. In fact an associated driver that has been running them a bit said he had to go back to other brands last week because his AKA set that he got from the nats had finally worn out and he said the other brands tires seemed like he was fighting them and that he wasn't as fast with them.
