Finally got it, hid it under the bed for now
I have printed out every thread on this plane and I am making notes (thanks to everyone here).

I have two more questions:

Has anyone ever hand launched and piloted this plane by themselves with success(you launch and fly it)??

Has anyone ever launched this plane on a home-made launch pad (similar to what I have seen for a DD on this forum) or a dolly with success (other than the one dolly I have seen on this forum)??

Thanks

Absolutely.....

No one else has ever launched my Magnum.
With the West Eurotek engine I hardly have to push it...it just launches itself :-)

But...if you want to play it safe, have someone launch it for you the first flight, until you have it in trim. Verry little out of trim on the ailerons wil make this plane bank rather much. So you have to be ready at the controls.

Only other problem is sometimes when the engine is running a bit rich, then I get some Nitro in my eyes because it blows into your face :-) Thats not too cool either.

SJN, where are you holding it to launch it yourself?

Right infront of the wing, and just behind the engine.

But the plane is quite heavy when only holding it there, so i rest the plane on the top of my head until i toss it forward :-)

SJN,

Sounds like you are doing an overhand toss...

Have you ever tried an "underhand" toss (holding the sides of the plane while your palm rests on top of the fuse, which would place the plane near your hip)??

I don't think the underhand toss would be ver succesfull... You have to hold it quite hard when you apply power, and the fuselage would give in..
