I think only difference is the 16MM shocks and the hi downforce wing (which you should replace the little mini wing on the X1 from the start)

Will the new servo saver bolt up to. I mean the whole steering assembly?

The X1X CRT is exactly the same as a regular CRT, it just comes with better things stock.

The X2 is what you want to convert your truck to instead of the x1x.

I'm gonna pick up an X2 when they come out, fo sho. But, in the meantime i thought i'd show my X1 some love. I'll post some pics as soon as I clean the race track off of it lol. But what i'd really like to have is a ball bearing steering system of sorts. Like BB king pin's or BB ackerman. Something to get the most out of my servo with minimal drag on it as well.

If your X1 has resistance in the steering, then you have broken/binding parts in the steering/front suspension area.

I had the same problem with mine and it turned out to be the steering rack/servo saver.
Took it apart to find the rack was bent and the bearings were toast.
Replaced the rack with a KHZ part and put the new servo saver in it.
Problem solved.

The next race, I noticed the same problem was happening again.

Took it apart to find bent arms on the front hubs.
Took the whole front suspension apart to find bent outer hinge pins and very dirty king pins/bushings.
Cleaned and replaced everything in question.
Haven't had any problems since.

The king pins ride inside a steel sleeve in the c blocks.
This area collects dirt and makes the steering bind up.
Hard hits will bend/distort the aluminum hubs, making the steering bind, as well.

Hope that helps.

Very helpful, thanks man. But, I was lookin more to streamline than to repair a bind. I got everything smooth now, just want a bit less friction. Just nitpicking it. lol

I hear ya.

I've tried to do the same thing.
I've spent many hours trying to get that 'last little bit' out of everything.

I tried honing the holes in the c hubs and polishing the king pins, but that introduces slop into the steering, which I don't like.
I think it's a trade off.
