Hi guys,
I really have not herd of cen racing before a few days ago. I am wanting a 1/16 or 1/18 scale mini nitro truck. I checked it out and saw a few videos on youtube and i think it is really cool. So anyways i was wondering if for the people who have it, do you like it? I see it is roto start. Is it pretty fast? And is it durable for what it is? I will be using it for just bashing only. Nothing else because we do not have tracks around here, or an lhs. So i will be getting it from horizonhobby if i get it. Also does it have a pretty good selection of replace parts, and upgrades?

Thanks in advance micro guy

i have a couple of cen products including amg 16 and no complaints theres a few upgrades out there fore it and a starter system .so far no breaks the motor could be a little more powerfull but if it was it be insane . i have done the turnbuckels and put bearings in it and for a baher it rules. not the truck my tr arena is but i tend to play with it more than my arena because of its size and real back yard bashability. run the mcoy 59# plugs work real good and 20@ nitro ,get nimh batts for the reciever and life gets interesting .so if your looking for a 1/16 cen got it ,good price ,fast ,sturdy, good customer service, and parts avalibilty.

you get alot more out of 1/10 nitros, a mini nitro is only a bit faster and more powerfull than a normal mini.

though the nice things with minis is that they take less fuel and power.

I have a modded MG16 and so does the wife, they're the best bang for buck truck in my opinion. The mods I did were,I made a 5 cell 6v 1100mah AAA battery pack for it,this requires a little remodelling of the battery tray, just need to cut out the standard AA battery guide rails after taking out all the AA contacts, rubber sealed wheel bearings in the wheel hubs, twin exit exhaust mod using another muffler and just fit the stinger exit cap on the opposite end of the one already on and drill a hole and screw in a pressure line nipple,an old fuel tank one is what I used with fibre seal,Traxass adjustable front and rear turnbuckles,Hitec HS625MG servo for steering,3000wt diff oil in the diffs,35wt shock oil, homemade wheelie bar (Axle type) with little nylon wheels and solid rubber tires and some HPI Deepstar MT rims with Geolander tires from the MT2.I want a set of rims with Proline Roadrage tires and maybe think about buying and fitting the NX 3.0 engine from the Magnum NX MT,they haul ass with one of them in and wheelie more than they do standard even with the stock muffler that is the culprit in making the NL15 engine thats in there standard,so dreary, the same engine in the MG10 has maybe 30-35% more power with the composite tuned pipe on it.Overall I think they're great and very sturdy, only broke 2 front hub carriers and bent 2 hingepins aswell as snapping a few fins off the head through heavy bad landings but she still keeps on going and with the mods done they're excellent, especially the 5 cell RX pack and exhaust mod, parts are inexpensive and it has already been said they use less fuel than the bigger engines with around the same runtime per tank....
