Okay, here is the situation: I have a CX2 that I am learning to fly. I did run into a wall in my house that broke off the blades. I replaced the bent flybar and all blades. Runs great as far as blade tracking and all other functions but no longer hovers like it used to. Requires continuous input and is acting like it is hunting or searching and bobs side to side back and forth in no particular direction.

I can control it but it is much like a single blade heli that requires continuous input. I took it to the LHS and they inspected and didn't see any bent shafts of shaking of any kind and were clueless why it would act like this?

Any clues? I tried adjusting gain and proportion and that did nothing since it holds direction well. I just likes to bob around.

Thanks
Shannon

Shanipaqman,

Check your swashplate closely, it may have seperated. It's a two part assembly and in a crash it can loosen up or become totally seperated. If this is the case, you can use needle nose pliers to push the two sections back together.

It does sound like your problem is in the swashplate.

Problem Solved! I read up on some posts after carefully checking all parts, like the swash plate to make sure they were in tact. What I found to solve the "toilet bowl" effect was that I replaced my upper blades and whoala! Everything is back to nice and steady. Must have been some warped or unbalanced blades, even though I did check and they were tracking perfectly. Lesson learned, things can look like they are fine to the eye and still be out of whack.
Thanks guys!
