Hi all!

I am installing a Saito 1.20 in a new Extra 330 I just got. I am planning to install a 2oz header-tank, and my question is:

Is the location of the main tank crucial if using a header? The problem I'm having is that the main will be located a lot lower down than the header and the carb, when the plane is upright. Inverted, the main would be about 2 inches higher up...

This is with the engine side-mounted, if I mount it inverted I get other kinds of problems such as cooling issues... I am planning to do quite a lot of 3d with the plane so equal fuel-supply would be important.

Any help would be much appreciated!

this may be or may not be any different but when i used to race model powerboats i had a 67 size outboard engine fitted with a 2 oz header tank set level with the carbs venturi and the main 10 oz tank was down lower about 3 inches, the engine never failed . i think the inverted flight could be a different story . if you have room to fit a very small header tank in the engine bay and keep your main tank at the correct level this would work fine.
