Deisel fuel seems to supply heaps of smoke. we have a couple of guys running the large scale 3D specials and they use straight deisel pump fuel into the exhaust.

G-Day M8
yea thats exactley what i did got told no more planes so i got myself a blade 400 heli one of the best things i ever got.

i live in mandurah halls head just down the road, which field do you fly at? i fly park flyers so i am not in a club yet but in a year or so i will be joining one i hope.

i have herd the diesel being injected into the exhaust to make somke on turbine planes but not on glow or petrol planes thats how they do it in "real planes"

good luck

simmo

simmo, i am in Queensland . there are a few guys who fly petrol planes that use deisel for there smoke fuel and it does create some smoke but not very white [ grey ] the same can be done to a glow engine as it only needs some heat in the exhaust.

Supposed to be some kind of fuel to burn made from the releasing agent they use on concrete forms. Not sure what it is called. Some use Diesel but man the diesel here is at 4.80gal. That would be expensive smoke fuel. Sullivan makes a good pump you can control the amount of smoke put out and use your radio to program it. You can get more when more throttle is used or whatever. Smoke pump, plumbing, smoke tank, extra battery. And lots of trial and error with programing lol.
