Status: offline 		I fly glow - the guys at our field with electrics are telling me to switch to lipo batteries in my glow planes. Can this be done and what do I need to accomplish this? I see Electifly in Tower Hobbies but I don't know if these can be used with glow and my receiver 4.2v - I also understand I need a voltage regulator....sounds like a lot but the guys tell me they only have to charge once a year which sure beats every time I fly like I'm doing now.

A 2 cell lipo and a regulator of sufficent capacity for your servos.

I run the Flight Power EVO Reciever 2170 reciever batteries with the Flight Tech 8amp liner regulator in my helis for the recievers, that powers 3 8717's, an 8311, a gyro and 8900g, and a governor.
