I just installed the Logitech G5 gaming mouse and I'm finding it a bit difficult to click on things cuz of its sensitivity

does anyone else who has this mouse have this problem

and yes i do have the sensitivity on the mouse and I am aware that I can turn down the mouse speed on the comp

I have the g3. A button switched from 800 dpi for normal use to 1800dpi for gaming.

Do not use the mouse acceleration software in wondows. it will make it really messed up. The best thing I have found to show this, is to go into paint and try to draw cirlces. they should be smooth, not jagged. mouse decelerators actually works by skipping pixles to make it seems slower, resulting in a jagged circle.

on a different note, how do you like begin able to change the weight of you mouse?

I have a G5 amongst others. The G5 gets used for office work mostly, I have a razer copperhead for gaming.

To solve your problem, enable mouse smoothing in windows options, and knock the sensitivity down on the mouse.

Interesting looking mouse there Foxy. There have been a few mouse discussions lately, I may have to give this one a try when it comes out. You seem to be a fan of the Razer mice. Have you ever had any problems with yours?

Edit: I played that little flash game on http://www.speedofthelight.com. That was a pretty entertaining game, and helped me adjust mouse settings haha

The point of that one is actually that it will be a budget model with a 2000dpi sensor, it's not out yet.

My Copperhead is still working great after 18months, but if I was up for a new mouse (no need, copperhead is still one of the best mice around), it would be the Lechesis without hesitation, and the best bang for buck model at the moment is the death adder. www.razerzone.com

Yes, I am a big razer fan, have been since the original 1000dpi BALL mouse, the Boomslang. It was revolutionary then and helped me to a 24th ranking in Greece on UT2004. Since then, Karna's optics keep getting better and better, and razer's designs keep getting cooler and cooler. Most gamers who try a razer don't switch back. The logitech feels like a clubhammer by comparison, even though it's a great mouse, the razer feels more like, well, a razer really.

If you're in the market right now, go for a death adder, a copperhead, or if you can afford it, a lechesis. You won't be disappointed. Their new mousemat is supposed to be pretty good too, but I haven't tried it. It has a lot to do to convince me to part with my everglide ricochet pro mat (everglide.com, pro gaming mousemats, another essential mousing site ).
