New hbk2 was bunny hopping in garage and caught the tail rottor in the welcome mat. Gryo come up to ready and just keeps flashing. No lift but does circles very well. Static check gives me indication that the tail servo is inoperative. Is it the servo or did I mess something else up. Any help will be welcome. Thanks a have a good day.

Hi Conv396,

Welcome to the Eflite forum. Sounds like the welcome mat wasn't too friendly in welcoming your new HBK2.

There are some guys on this forum who also fly Esky helis and might be able to help with your question. But if you don't get an answer here you might try a similar post on the Esky forum. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_481/tt.htm

There's a lot of other HBK2 topics there that might be of interest to you too. But maybe you've already been there? Wish I could help more. Good luck.

Welcome! The HBK i s a good bird. Quiet a few people here have one. I have a Blade 400 and from what you describe it could be a stripped servo. With the power off to the heli, manually move the servo through it's full motion. There should be no binding, flat spots, or weird noises coming from the servo as you push the horn. If there is get some new gears for it.
Can you describe the problem a bit more? Does the servo move through it's motion with the tx? Did a wire come loose? Did you break a tail rotors? How did it get stuck in the mat? Was it tangled up, just bumped it, hit it and flipped over?

You should have the rudder trim centered when trying to initialize the stock rate gyro supplied with the hbk2. If it is off center by more than a couple clicks, the gyro will just blink steady and never get a solid led. Check your slider trims.....
No servo function is a dead giveaway to that issue.

Want to thank you all. Thinair,ArrowNaughtic,& xystter. You have just sloved the gryo problem. I found a bent main rotor blade shaft. Will call Ka-planes and order new parts. Someone on 1 of the nets says you can straighten the shaft but I think new is way to go. Once again you guys are O.K. and thanks for the solutionj.
