hello, I've been using the duralite pack in my jr 10x and has worked fine however: in reading the new manual on the 12x, they recomend not to use li-poly transmitter pack because the higher voltage can burn out the RF unit while you're flying!. I realize the Duralite pack is li-ion but, the voltage is the same.

Any experiance with this, is there some sort of protectiion built into the duralite pack? I don't want to go back to nicad or nimh!!!

Kind Regards,

Mike

Hi Mike,

It is not recommended to use a 3 cell lithium battery in the JR X9303 or the 12X 2.4 radios because the higher voltage can possibly effect the modules. We have engineered a 3s2p pack for the 2.4 X9303 version which reduces the output voltage to the radio specifications. The 1400 mAh redundant provides around 5 to 6 hours of run time.

At this time we haven't looked at the 12X but we might be able to come up with something in the near future.

Hi Mark,

I'm running the duralite pack in a jr10x with the spectrum 2.4 module installed. Is this a potential problem?

thanks

Mike

Hi Mike,

JR has advised users of the 2.4 module that the higher voltage of a 3 cell pack is not recommended. We are currently looking at a modified 10X / 12X Duralite pack which will resolve this issue. We don't have any time frame on the release date but we should know in a couple of weeks.

thanks Mark, will it be possible to update my existing pack for use with the 2.4gig once you get the fix in place?
regards,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Once we have the conversion finalized we can convert your existing pack to use with the 2.4 10X or 12X.

Mike,

Just happened on this post.

I have a JR 10X on 72 mhz. Looking for Li-po or ion to replace stock nicads. Have also read other posts not to use with JR tx but most posts got off orginal 10X question and started relating to other JR tx besides the 10X.

Need clarification if li-po or ion can be used in a stock JR 10X on 72 mhz. BTW module is synsithized if that makes a difference.

THanks in advance,
Dennis
