As some of you heard Wolcott has announced there will be no racing for the 2009 season. This is in part to declining numbers of participating racers for races. With declining numbers and the cost of living going up, this will make it the 3rd track to close this year. Don't let Wolcott become just another "remember when" track.. The following is the schedule for 2008 which is still going as planned, lets try to help Lester and his shop out and see if we can turn this around. If you have a buggy, truggy, Monster Truck, anything stop by and run or race, even if you do not want to race, just run on the track, when you see how fun it is, you will want it to stay. The track is located on route 69 in Wolcott, CT, and anyone is welcome, stop by to support your Connecticut tracks, and the hobby, remember the more tracks close, the less fun you can have..

2008 Schedule

Sat qualifying starts at 11 am. We are running Arena truck, Production Truck, Mini CRT, and all electric classes in full. That means Qualifying and mains will be run on Sat for those classes.

Sunday qualifying starts at 11 am sharp. Classes that will be running are 1/8 buggy and 1/10 nitro truck. Qualifiers and mains will be run in full for those classes only.

All 1 day races are slated for the standard qualifying and mains schedule.

All 2 day races are slated for Saturday running of Arena Truck and Monster truck classes in full, and Sunday running of 1/8 buggy only.

April 13th Opening day race non trophy race

April 20th Official season opener Trophy day

May 25th Tri State Championship

June 7th and 8th CT State Championship race

June 29th Bugy Blast off 1/8 buggies only!!!

July 26th and 27th ROAR Region 1 Regionals

August 17 Super Series Round 2

August 24th, Pro Series Warm up! non trophy

August 29-30-31st Pro Series Round three

Sept 13-14th. RC Driver Race of Champions

October 12th Super Series Round 4 finals!

October 08 season closer

Remember these are races, and they happen on those dates, even if you are new, there is no reason why you can't have fun, Wolcott is a great track and many pro teams have tested new cars here and raced here, so you can say it is a big chunk of R/C history here in CT, once again support the shop, and lets try to prevent this from being the 3rd track in 1 year.

My team mate and I would love to go and race. He races truggy, and I race buggy. Since we are a few hours away, we cant go two days in a row unfortunately. Good luck.
