70" Wing Span P-51 Mustang "Nooky Booky IV"

Ok guys a very good friend of mine found this beauty at a flea market in Cali. The first part of the build will to be to see if we can find out who made or still makes this kit. Here's the low down on the plane.

P-51 Mustang "Nooky Booky IV"
Fiber Glass fuse
built up and coverd wings w/flaps and retract ready
Fiber glass cowl and canopy
Built up and covered tail sections
Wing Span is 70 inches
Fuse length from cowl edge to rudder tip is 57 1/2 inches

Take a look at the pictures and see if you have any ideas on who made or makes this kit. The main reason is to see if there are instructions anywhere out there. I have the majority figured out but the instructions would be very helpfull.

Take a look at the pictures

Jason

Nope that thread had one mention of a "Noooky Booky IV " and it was a total build up kit. As you can see this is an ARF style kit. Made In China as the original box states. This kit was still bagged in the original bags and the original box.

Its probably a CMP knockoff....maybe an Evergreen. A manual for a CMP should work, but Im not absolutely sure on that.

I added more picture of the kit here: http://www.nitrokillers.com/showthread.php?p=7899#post7899 . I have compared it with the CMP and sofar not even close. I also Looked at Will Hobby with no match either. Is there a direct link to Evergreen?

I have seen this exact plane for sell on the internet, and was thinking about getting one myself. But now, I can't find it..... I will continue to search. I believe it was, indeed a clone and the cost was around $200 or so. When I locate it again, I'll post a link.

check the www.giantscaleplanes.com website, I believe the manual is posted there.

This is the older 70" CMP P-51 not in production, check out nitroplanes.com I believe they still sell it.

Well I'm getting Closer. A guy from RCgroups found the plane at AK models out of Iowa. The Guy has 4 in stock and the is a manual in the pictures no if I can get him to return my call to see if there is any way he can scan it for me or copy it. It also appears I may be missing one big sticker sheet.

Jason,
there is a manual posted for the .50 Size P-51 at www.giantscaleplanes.com

it should be very similar to this.

Jason,

In additon to operating AK Models, Alex is also a local club member and a very good guy. I'm certain that he will do all he can to help you. However, as you may have seen in the news, our area is very badly flooded and homes and business in low-lying areas, which includes Alex's house, are in grave danger.

I would be patient and give him some time to respond. There's a great deal at stake for all of us here along the Iowa River.

I hope you guys come out okay from all this. We've been through the rain up here in southern MN but not nearly the amount you guys have had. I hope Alex is okay and I hope his inventory fairs well and that he can recover from any losses. I was bummed to find out he wasn't getting any CMP 109's in the first shipment as he is a great guy to deal with.

I'll be seeing Jason this weeke nd and hope to see how he's doing with the Mustang.
