My local hobby shop told me that they are having trouble getting glow fuel now. Their suppliers told them they may not get June glow fuel orders till August. Has anyone else noticed this and if so why?

Status: offline 		there is a post in the engine forum about a nitro shortage. which was leading to higher prices. I guess nitro only get produced for commercial use in the US and china is a major source but because of reasons that vary those resources are limited for now.

Status: offline 		There is a story floating around (That I cannot confirm) that the world's nitro supply has been affected by the Chinese Olympics.

Basically; in order to clean up the air around the Olympic sites they have shut down a bunch of the factories in the area - the producers of Nitro are amoung them - and we... wait.

This might be a good time to invest in a FAI engine (No Nitro) or move up to a gasser.

Status: offline 		I heard from someone that because of the shortage the NHRA is no longer allowing Top Fuel cars to do test runs.

I also heard the issue about the chinese olympics causing some kind of problem but now I understand why.

Can we some how protest human rights violations or something to get the olympics stopped there? LOL Like we matter?

Status: offline 		there are 3 places that make nitro one is in china seems only sig is affected

Around here the fuel situation has never been better easy to get MUCH better quality and cheaper (used to use power master now use magnum)

Status: offline 		On April 1, 2008 a 31 year old white male was busted by the BDO for trying to smuggle a pipe bomb and about 2 quarts of nitromethane on a flight out of Orlando airport. BDO stands for Behavioral Detection Officer. They are any place the public has access to the government. For what ever the reason nitromethane will not be as easy to get for awhile.
