I'm surprised it runs steadily at all. I see there are dual quads up top, and I know that even with one blower that is a you-know-what to tune. Most of those that are blown on two carbs have no idle circuit at all. They just seem to 'rev - rev - rev'. I've seen that in the pits many a time.

Perhaps he should consider a Magnacharger - that dual blower from the 80s that held one four-barrel staggered on each side of the engine compartment
