i am lookin for 125cc to at least 200cc dirtbikes. i had a 97 yamaha tt 100cc and i have riden a yzf 450 at my cousins friends house. 450 is too much for me expecially for a dirtbike for a 13 year old, but 700cc on a quad is way easier.

ya what do you want? for a 2stroke you might want a super mini. but those run all out on a track. and ktm has a 200cc 2stroke.

My cousin JUST bought a YZ250F, VERY nice bike.. But since your age I would stay with just a simple 125cc 2 stroke.. Yamaha,KTM,Kawasaki,Suzuki All have very good 125cc models

Yeah a 2-stroke would probably be cheaper with maintenance and up keep, but it depends on you riding style, if you're the type of person that's "rev happy" (who pins it at WOT and holds it there till your either getting close to a big tree or a turn and have to get off the throttle and hit the brakes then hits WOT as soon as you can) if that's you then a 2-stroke would be the only bike for you, if you ride a 4-stroke that way you'll be trowing rods, sucking valves, and replacing alot of parts and on 4-strokes parts get $$$ fast. If you're riding style is more rid in the lower RPMs and let the torque of the engine get you around then a 4-stroke (and maybe a stroker kit) would be the right bike for you.

not so, your soposed to keep the rpms up on any bike. 2 strokes are ment to be on the pipe, and if there not they arnt fast. and 4 strokes you are too. i will be tapped out in 5 gear going into a corner, down shift into 3 or 2 and nail the trottle again.

this is what a 250f should sound likehttp://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=921383194

I didn't know that was Ryan Villopoto, at first I thought that was you

That whole video I only saw once where Ryan over revved the bike, and even the pros say "Over Revving is the fastest way to destroy a bike" (or was it engine) and he doesn't pay for any of his stuff and he most likely gets new engines every race. (or atleast every season)

I hope you mean 110CC

If you do mean 110CC then that's a trail bike not a race bike and those 85's that where beating you are more then likely race bikes. Remember a 250cc 4-stroke race bike races with a 125cc 2-stroke race bike. and the 450F race with the 250 2-strokes.

Its like with RC's you have a 28 sport engine and compare that to a high end 21 Race engine and that 28 is going to look SLOW.

Its like apples and oranges.

Its more getting a bike that suits you best. I know my Dad rode a 250 2-stroke and then he went to a 450 because it fit his riding style better.

I've seen guys ride those 250F bikes and rev them like there was no tomorrow, but you know what they may have had the throttle pinned at wide open, but they weren't much faster then some of the other guys out there, but I sure the other guy's don't have to spend as much on replacement parts
