madmax is referring to the fact that Nitro might not exactly be readily available in the next 6-12 month's....nothing to do with ur little rant u just pulled...sorry Oasis.

Not so much a rant towards madmax..Locally were getting more and more guys coming out with brushless conversions and for some reason they think that they should race with the nitros, we explain that since their are 3 or more of them they will race in their own class..and they just dont get it..and why is nitro going to be hard to get?

look up Nitro Shortage...and read a couple article's...ull see what i mean.....but i do somehwat hear u on brushless vs Nitro thing and having there own class.

Is the Lightning Stadium Pro (LSP) the same as the Lightning Stadium Sport that's available now? I read up a bit on the HB LSP and constantly saw that the wheel hexes were an odd size (forgot what, but not 17mm), but on HB's website, it says the Sport (LSS?) has 17mm hexes, so are the LSP and LSS the same?

I'll look around for a used roller of a nice truggy also.

I've read threads about both the HB LSP and Kyosho Inferno ST US Sport not being quite as durable (the Kyosho's problem seems to be mostly the engine, but also a weak steering setup). Is the Duratrax Raze ST more durable than these other two? Not including the threads that just discount Duratrax (calling it duratrash), the ones that actually reviewed or discussed the Raze ST seem to show it to be pretty durable and well made. It looks very close to an Ofna Mutilator to me based off pics. I thought the HB and Kyosho would be better made than the Duratrax based on brand reputations, but perhaps HB and Kyosho cut costs too much while DTX did ok?

Don't want to steal the thread here but since we're already talking brushless truggys... does anyone know of a brushles conversion for the ST-1? I've got two of them and would like to convert one.

Personally if I was going to do a brushless conversion I would use a Losi and I would use the Tecno conversion for it..This would be a very very hard combination to beat..

Druss - I'm in the process of converting my ST-1. I'm waiting for the electronics to arrive and will start to plan the arrangement and make the motor mount thereafter. I don't know of any "bolt-on" conversion kit for the ST-1.

BHC, heres my idea. What about buying everything as pieces? what i mean by that is start with a chassis, then add in the proper suspension and rolling parts to build your own custom rolling chassis. that way, you could build it as you get the $ to do so, and have something 1 off, that you built yourself and that youll know is put together right.

mx757 - I thought about that too. Cost would be about the same as starting with a kit/RTR, but like you said, you get to pick your parts, which is nice. When I was looking into building my own, I was actually going to design my own chassis (I know someone that makes composites, so I can have a CF chassis made). If you don't mind the building process, I say go for it!
