ORIGINAL: DawgBone What engine is that? I don't remember any of my Mach's having a knife edged conrod like that....although it's been some time since I last opened one up. I've never messed with the .26SS either... You say LST, as in a LST1 or LST2? The very early LST1's had a shim between the conrod and OWB that would make the engine self destruct...It was some of the very first runs of the OG blue headed Mach .26's.... Also, there should be a brass bearing/bushing in the part that broke. Any signs as to where it is? If it's not in the engine, and not in the pipe, it may had never had one... My M427 and XTM .247 have a con rod that looks like that. my M26 and my SH 28 P3 do not. First thing I thought was "where's the bushing???" but it may still be on the crank. *EDIT* I lied, the SH 28P3 and M26 both have that same rod. Also looks like the big end on the con rod (yes, that IS a technical term ) looks to have a hole much bigger than mine...which would be explained by not having a rod bushing and the crank beating the snot out of the rod. Without a bushing, I'd be shocked the engine ran THAT long and is a testament to SH reliability
