I like the Jemco/Dynaflite/Marks series of warbirds. They are a nice 40/60 class fun scale kit. ITs amazing how many are still around. And the funscale P51, at 4.5 lbs with a .46 is a rocket.

The only warbird kit I have is from Top flite. They seam to be pretty good. I'd buy another Top flite kit.

I really like the Gold Edition kits as well. I just got my Tower Talk and I see that they have gone up in price $20.00. I had better figure out if I want any more before the next increase. Good Luck, Dave

Bob Holman has some nice kits from various designers.

Meister has good kits and the models fly well.

Another option is to pick up some plans and have a kit cutter make your kit. Ziroli is a favorite of mine.

I don't want to sidetrack the thread, but Mr. Crump, that Stuka is very nice!

Thanks, The kit was cut by Mace Gill.

In my opinion, buying plans and using a kit cutter is a great way to go. It opens up a vast array of models that aren't available as "normal" kits.

Tom, your warbirds just get better and better all the time!! That Stuka is one of the nicest I've seen. Any chance you'll fly it at Empire this coming weekend at the TRAMPS show? Soft landings. Joe

Hey,

I am now building the Top Flite Elder as my first kit build. Till now its easy and verry good material.

What are your thoughts of the Balsa USA kits??

Seems to me they are funscale, close to scale. Good quality at good price.
I plan on buying 2 or 3 kits, but sure would like to heare some opinions on that firm.

Phil

I built the BUSA Fokker DVIII. It was a great kit.

Crash Campbell's link to the Meister 109 is another good choice. It was my second Giant Scale build, and went together easily.

Joe, I doubt if I'll make it to the TRAMP
