Mike, does the wing have built-in washout or will you be adding washout to it? [/QUOTE]

Richard,

Yes, there is washout built into the wing. The ribs have tabs on the bottom of the wings to hold the washout while you build.

Hope this helps,

I was just finishing researching my ME 109 pics and was looking for an ace from the same squadron or gruppe I happened across a black and white of the plane and went looking for a color version. I posted the black and white pic and pilot info asking for more information and someone emailed me the color pic. I think i also have the same pic in one of my aero detail or other book.

Mike,
That scheme looks really cool, and the black nose looks aggressive, great idea for a model. Can't wait to see your end result. Look forward to your update on the wing construction.

Thanks Kurt!

I'll be getting back on the wing tonight. I love the name of that plane "Black 12" :-)

Man,
I am following this article on the FW190 with great interest. Does anyone know exactly how scale it is. Stated another way, is this a standoff scale model or is it exact (or reasonably close to exact - say + - 5%). How does it rate relative to the Pica 190D?

Also, my favorite warbird of all time is the BF 109 (E,F,G). Are there any plans on the drawing board to do this aircraft. It just seems so odd that an aircraft that represented the backbone of the Luftwaffe and for which so many were built (30,000 +) is rarley modeled except in giant scale. Does anyone have a line on a 1/7th, 1/6th or 1/5th scale model of the 109?

I hear ya I havent seen a set of 109 plans worth a crap either. meisters is fun scale needs a lot of work to make it scale besides the construction method sucks. Brian taylors though it has a nice scale outline also sucks 1 reason being the hand carving of the fin and the other is because it isnt former framed but box construction. rawle aviation has a nice set of G plans but not in Emil Version. Roy vaillencourt will soon be working on a set of Emil plans in 1/5 scale. the rest like PCM is nice but unfortunatley prefabbed kit rather than built up balsa and ply.

I gave up and working on designing my own with a nice set of vectored 3 views from Jeff Foley I just wished someone else would have a decent set as i am not a designer but a basher lol but so far everyone likes them i guess i am just nervous abt doing my own design like that even with almost 30 yrs of building experience.
