I am changing my Mini Ultra Stick over to 2.4 GHz and need advice on where to place the main and remote receivers. I am using the AR7000 receiver. Any advice and/or pictures of your setup from those using this receiver in a Mini Ultra Stick would be appreciated.
Thanks,
TM

I do not have the Mini Ultrastick or the AR7000, but I have helped many others with their installations. I have two AR9000 receivers and three ar6200 receivers. The AR9000 receivers come with one satellite receiver and have a port for a second one.

I mount the satellite receiver at 90 deg to the main receiver. In a small electric, like the Mini Ultrastick, you should not need long extensions for the satellite receiver. I usually orient the antennas so they are all going in different directions.

Yep that is the key to the 2.4 and the antennas is to have one in each plane; i.e. x, y, and z

The AR7000 is really overkill for the MUS. My son flies a MUS with the AR6100 parkflier receiver. He's flown it to an altitude where it was, well.. unnerving. No range issues whatsoever.

When I had an AR7000 in my mini US I simply put the satallite rx under the servo tray. This was 90 degrees to the main rx which was velcro'd to the fuse side. The rx wasn't even attached to anything and it worked perfectly for many flights before being removed.

Thanks everyone for all the advice. Here is what I ended up doing. I velcroed the main RX to the fuselage side with the antenna in the vertical plane. Then velcroed the satelite RX underneath the wing mounting block with the antenna horizontal paralleling the wing. I flew it for three 12 minute flights with any glitches or loss of signal at all.
