ddegange -> Futaba gy401 - How to adjust the gain? Belt CP (6/15/2008 5:12 AM)

I have a Belt CP with the stock RTF radio(I know that is a problem). I installed a Futaba gy401 gyro to get that heading hold stability but I need to adjust the gain and I don't know how. The gain is in channel 5 but there does not seem to be a control on the radio to adjust it.

Can anyone be of assistance?

Thanks....

Adjust in the gyro itself! Small driver! Dont you have instructions for the 401??

Good luck,

genettico

Unfortunately, you can't adjust the gain for the gy401 on the unit itself, it only has remote gain. The belt cp stock tx is set up for the esky hh gyro only and you cannot adjust the gain value. Therefore, you can't use the gy401 on the belt cp with the stock tx. Did you choose that gyro yourself? Did your hobby shop recommend it? For similar performance w/ the ability to program from the unit look at the Logictech 2100t, I'm sure someone would be willing to do a straight trade.

I was afraid that was going to be the answer. Yes, the hobby shop did recommend the gy401 because of it's performance.

Yep, great gyro, but you need a spare channel that you can control the end points to adjust it.

Take it back and exchange it for either the logictech 2100t / hitec gyro or the gy240.
