Not real strong ( 143 oz ) , not real fast ( .2+ sec ). 5955 would have been a MUCH better choice.

Nomobux...
Well you have never led us wrong so perhaps I made an unwise purchase. I am still learning the servo game. The package says that at 6 volts its 168.03 oz. adn the speed is .18. Should I not believe that? AND if what they print is true will this servo suffice for steering in my arena and or buggy?!?!

You are correct. I looked real quick at the specs and was on 4.8V. Still think it's light on the torque tho .. for me. I really like the 5955s.

I'm a rookie and I use that servo in my XXX-T CR. Its been serving me well. I haven't raced it or anything but I've beat the hell out of it and have had no problems with it. I had it truckin through some pretty thick slop...sand...it seems to be doing the job well. Not sure what you plan on doing with yours but it seems to be a champ. I know its not the best...but I've been taking the middle of the road with my servos and I haven't had any problems yet.

I use Hitec 5955tg for both steering and throttle. You can get the Hitec titanium geared digital servos for $89.99 at Donalds Hobby.

why would you ever want a 330 oz servo for a throttle

When I bought my truggy I went on several forums to see how some people had their TR Arenas set-up. Almost all were using and recommending to use the Hitec 5955TG for steering and throttle especially since the TR is a heavy truggy. You don't know how many post I run into where people say they don't have enough breaking power to stop the TR...well the Hitec 5955tg can solve that problem

Me too. I had a 5955tg burn out and I was going to throw it out because I had it over 3 years. I read a post where a guy sent his back and got a new one. I figured I would give it a try. I e-mailed Hitec and they told me to send it in. A few days later I received a brand new 5955TG. Now that is awesome service.
