+1

2 12inch Phoenix Gold..Or Kicker,Fusion,Infinity,Rockford,.. Could go with a 18inch Kicker Solox 10000w ..
Stick with the same amp as brand usually.

How much are you looking to spend. On a budget I have been looking at subwoofers by Kicker, 6x9s by Polk and maybe a Blaupunkt head unit. If you have more to spend an Alpine head unit paired with Infinity speakers and possibly JL or JBL subwoofers would be a nice setup.

I'd just got 6 1/2 for your mids.. 6x9's are just ugly and outdated in My opinion

Blaupunkt makes good head units as well as Alpine, Clarion too.

Stay away from MTX..junk.. You can buy them at those really cheap electronics stores..just like the Jensen crap..

True.

I wasn't really referring to 6x9's as much as I was just thinking of how to say general speakers, as that is what I really meant. Anything other then subwoofers and tweeters.

I would never buy that it is a waste of money if you listen to anything with a fast bass line that speaker is so big it wont be ao pick it up I had that problem with some 15's that i had a few years ago I would just go with 3 JL 12 or better yet if you can get your hands onsome SoundStream SPL 12's you would have him beat any day SPL meaning sound pressure level

Did you ever think that nobody wants to hear what you have playing on the car radio?

In that case I will put Broken Hope in there so it is on constant play, have the volume be at 100% and then remove all the buttons on the face plate - only to fill them in with epoxy so they can't be pushed ever again - to spare everybody from listening to techno/dance/hip hop sock/rap/skipping record noises.
