America's Hobby Center used to have two page b/w ads for lots of stuff back in the early 70's.

I remember buying and building a 6-ft glider called the "Condor" which had a gull wing configuration, for F/F. I put an 049 and 2-ch World radio in it back then, and enjoyed flying it a lot. Would love to build one again. Anyone have a lead to plans/kit/photo?

Does anyone remember this plane?

The Condor was kitted by Cleveland. It may also have been kitted by others and in more sizes than 72". One source of plans is Aerodyne. It takes a while for them to fill orders, but I have always received what I ordered. Their plans are the kit plans, which means if something like a former was only on the printwood, it won't be on the plan.

Go to plans, then old timer gliders.

Here's a link to the Cleveland Models web site section on gliders, etc. It has listings for the Condor (72" and Super Condor (84" .

Apparently the Condor was only sold in latter days by AHC. It then became their sole model listing for about $2.99 each at one point.

Yes, that's the one. Is Cleveland selling a KIT for $15?

Wed,

BMJR has a great laser cut version of the Condor.

http://www.bmjrmodels.com/catalog.cfm?ID=Gliders&ID2=rc

I have pictures of a friends Condor that he added a motor and folding prop onto.

Will try to find the photos I have stored before I release this post.

It flys GREAT and gets a lot of attention.

Pete
