I saw on HFdotcom some guy selling the complete CF frames from Esky for 65 shipped. How do you think these Xtreme frames compare to Eskys CF frame, including the difference in price??

Thanks Ken, keep us posted on the build!

Ya, I'd like to know which carbon frame is better, the Esky or the Xtreme. Looks like there's more cnc aluminum
on the Xtreme, but a plastic bottom? Still looks from the pics that the Xtreme is a better frame. $15 diff. in the price.

after flying my gaui200, i realized that the stock hbk2 frame was too 'rubbery'...my logo frames are plastic, but they're extremely hard - almost brittle...now i'm wondering if it's worth getting rid of the rest of the slop with a cnc head...a 'sleeper' hbk2 w/ stock canopy never fails to impress...ken

Actually the difference isn't that much. I bought mine at www.ushobbysupply.com for $69.90. I think that is the going rate now. I am sure it is better than the esky carbon frame. It has adjustable servo mounts too, to make placing different servos easier. There is a review on rcgroups that shows the build of one. Looks pretty good.

Does the Xtreme HBK2 carbon frame only come in silver?
I'd like black carbon.

I betcha Xtreme comes out with a black carbon frame in a couple of months
to stir up a little more bus. That how marketing seems to go.

Recieved my Extreme CF frame monday the only plastic is the bottom battery tray it arrives 95% assembled with bearings installed as already stated in this thread the servo mounts are adjustable as well as the tail belt guides to make adjusting belt tension easier. The big diference between the extreme and ESKY that I can see is the bottom bearing mount and motor mount are one piece on the extreme and on the ESky they are seperate it also appears the bearing mounts and tail boom mount on the ESKY are plastic from the info in the manual.

Hope to fly the heli today its all assembled just have to go over the setup.

The angled battery tray does not come with the carbon frame correct?
If not, where can you purchase it?

The only place I see them listed is miracle mart, but they are out of stock. I see they finally have the mount stiffner for the stock frame listed (and out of stock) as well. About 7 months too late.

At this time, the only option is silver

I am in the process of building one up. I have a complete CopterX head that I plan to use, along with a HDX300 tai unit. Should be Sweeeeet. I really do like the XTREME frame, it comes about 90% assembled!

Yup, it comes without the angled battery tray. I have a pre-order with the distributor, but no ETA yet.

Michael, I just ordered my carbon frame from you this week. I'll watch for the
battery tray. I want to get that too!
