I have a question, Can a Nitro Conversion of the T-Rex 500 CF be done?

If so How would you go about doing it? what are your ideas?

I am interested in the idea, love the sound and smell of Nitro

Please try to stay on Topic.

Any Ideas would be Great.

I'm sure it could be done, but why would you? The trex 500 costs more than a 30 size kit to start with....
Lot of machining as locating a good power source. A 30 would be too big and heavy, maybe you could try with a 28 size car engine.

If you have to ask "can it be done" then I wouldn't bother thinking about doing it. Everything can be done with enough time, patience, money (in no specific order). Obviously, there is no straight forward kit to just drop in a motor and with the rex being that new there probably isn't anyone who is doing or has done this conversion.

If you do it, I wouldn't be surprised if you were the one and only....whats the point of taking a great flying small electric and then stuffing it full of headaches and problems. I'd be willing to bet that you would only end up with a pile of parts in a trash bag or some half completed project. If you like the sound and smell of nitro, why not simply purchase a nitro?
