Does anyone still make a Dad's or Aero Express Trailer style lightweight trailer long enough for a 40% anymore? If not, it would sure be a good time for someone to start! They would have a LOT of orders! I would like to find a new or used one myself!!!!

Me too. I bought a suburban because I have a short drive to work and wanted to haul my planes with out messing with a trailer. 2 years later I can't afford to drive the suburban to contests. Getting something that will get 25-30 mph and pull a 500 lb trailer looks pretty dang good now. I may just have to break down and build my own.

I built my own trailer from a Harbor Freight 4' x 8' kit. I have decided just to stick with my toy-hauler (to much hassle switching planes between 2 trailers) so I have mine for sale. I doubt it weighs much more than 500 lbs, I think any car can pull it, but I am in California.

I'd trade a ziroli corsair or a ziroli B25 for an aero express...

Gents,
Surf the net there are lots of good deals on used trailrs out there. I just purchased a 5 X 8 Well Cargo with a "V" nose, it will hold a 40% airplane right down the middle of the trailer. this is similar to the one I bought, except mine has a curb side door as well. Weight of the trailer is just a little over 700 pounds. I pull it with a Pontiac Grand Prix.

I have a nice 6X12 v nose... It works great but it's just way to big!! That's the idea behind the aero express.. Small but long, very light. You can bring your 40% to the field towed by a bug....
