My four star crashed after the reciever battery got disconnected from the switch lead while doing a snap roll. Since then I have started heat shrinking any servo extensions or battery extensions to help prevent this same mistake in the future. The crash landed pretty much nose in, so there was minimal damage to the wing or tail, although the nose of the plane was a complete right-off. So, I bought some wood and got creative. Since I was rebuilding anyway, I clipped the wings two bays (but added wingtips), and built a bigger rudder. The fuse is a tad wider to accomadate the bigger battery (plane is electric conversion). First flight was yesterday and she flies great, but not as forgiving as before: wing loading is 31 oz/ft^2.

Excellent rebuild! Amazing how much a plane can change with a little imagination!

pics from the first flight yesterday. There aren't any low flybys yet. I kept the altitude high while exploring the flight characteristics.

Your wing loading is very high. Compairable to war birds. You may have just developed a "war-bird trainer". Nice work on the rebuild.

How does she fly with the clipped wings? Im thinking about doing the same but not sure if I should clip one or two bays.
