I have been looking into this plane. I had an eflite p-47 and hated the quality of the plane, the foam broke very easily. Is the sea fury made of the same foam?

Diver, I have not seen the P-47 but the Sea Fury is made of foam. Looks well put together. Gene

to bad. The P-47 was OK. the stick motor mount was a nightmare though. It always came loose and it seemed like ever 5-6 flights you would have to re-glue it, owell I can "save" a few dollars in that case.

Not any more. The stick goes through a ply plate attached to the firewall. The stick's going nowhere.

The foam looks like the same as the foam used in the P-47

Just flew first flights on it today. Flies like a dream. Required no trim. Retracts work great. Plane is very gentle no bad tendencies.

Those of you that have one of these birds, what motor, ESC and Servo combos are you using, and how are the results?

I will try to get some video this week. As far as set up I am using the Eflite 480 1020 kv spinning an 11X8 APC Prop, Castle thunderbird 36 speed controller, Castle B.E.C. (not sure if one is needed but with 6 servos its cheap insurance), a Flight Power 2170 pack, 2 JR 241 for the retracts, 4 Hitec 56's on everything else. I am In Denver, CO. At this altitude with this setup plane has unlimited vertical at full power and leaps of the ground in about 10 feet.
