I crashed this plane just a week and a half ago and put it back together. I had the same problem as last time. My engine quit mid air and i am just a beginner. Lets just say deadsticks aren't my best thing. The engine quit at full throttle and I had to try to land with the wind pushing me but the fence was coming to fast so i hit full up elevator to stall it. It dropped out of the sky and hit the ground. I got some pics of it. It busted the tail section, firewall, and landing gear out. Luckily I had one of those sturdy foam core wings. Instead of the wing shredding, it pulled out the pieces of wood where you put the nylon bolts in through the wing. Hopefully all goes well putting it back together.

Experience is by far the best teacher and you just got some (experience). Keep it straight and it will fly again.

Sounds like you have a tuning problem with your engine....

If you can't solve it quickly you might consider looking at a SPAD ... say what you will they will take a lot of punishment and keep on flying.

In the mean time - well done on your save, repairs and determination!

Thanks. It wasn't a tuning issue last time. After I looked the engine over, the high speed needle was loose at its base. I tightened it and the problem quit. When the most recent crash happened, I had a guy there with me that has been flying nitro models for more than a decade. When we had it on the ground, I would run it up and it would die after a few seconds going on full throttle. He adjusted it a little and it ran fine on the ground. Got it up in the air, it died. I pulled the glow plug out and it was fine. Maybe it wasn't ready for the temp change.
