Hi! I recently got back into RC and I have a 5 year old Nitro rustler with a trx .15 engine.. its copletely stiff, I've been told the gas must have gunked up inside and it prevents the piston form moving.. any possible solutions? Same thing has happened to my Thunder tiger Tiger Trainer MKII engine!!. Is there any way of getting it back up and running or clearing out the junk form inside? Thanks!

yeah you could take the motor apart clean it and put a new glow plug in it and it should run

Ya just use some old nitro, or denatured alc.

A buddy of mine found an old OS .18 about 15 years old, in his garage. Started right up after it was cleaned up.

Hey I got it started! problem is the damn thing wont keep on! It idles ok, when I press the gas it struggles unless you go slowly more and more and once it reaches a certain point you can gun it at its fine, revs to top revs fine past a certain point, that is relatively normal though isnt it?
When I first get it started it sometimes revs up real high and the just dies... maybe the tuning is off? I expect so but no matter what i do lean it or make it richer it doesnt change that much... ive richened it to the point it almost stalls... then lean it slowly revving it until the best revving is achieved and then slightly richen it, no matter what I do sometimes it just dies! Could it be its just plain old and I should get a new one? Thanks guys
