I just purchased an A123 2300 2S1P pack and I really don't want to spend $100 on another charger when I already have 4 in the pit.

Here is what is at my disposal. Can any combination of this equipment charge these as accurately or as fast as the Sonic?

Rivergate 30A Power Supply
CE Turbo35 Stealth (non-lipo)
DTX ICE
Triton Electrifly Jr.
Novak Millennium Pro (Nickel only)
Hyperion LBA10 Balancer (has A123 setting on it)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm comfortable with any Nickel or LiPo charging, but this is my first step into the A123 realm.

Thanks.

Use the Hyp. LBA 10 in-line ( safety disconnet mode)with the ICE. Set LBA10 to A123 mode and set Ice to 2S LiPoly and up to 8Amps. (max. LBA10 can handle ,I think) check the instructions. When first cell goes overvoltage LBA10 will stop the charge.

You can use Ni mode but LiPoly will most likely give you a slightly fuller charge.

Thank you Charles.

I did actually end up ordering the 10A Sonic charger, but I'd still like to be able to use the method above for additional packs. I'll give it a shot on Friday night (battery will be here before charger)
