yeah, its plug-n-play and you can use it while you charge. Just plug the neg wire on the balance tab into the far right pin (should be almost fool proof since the blinky has "pos" and "neg" written on the board).

Just checked the tracking from Fedex, it says the truck will be here tomorrow. It's in CT right now, so I have my doubts, but then again I'm used to USPS shipping which is a lot slower. The ESC should be here by Saturday the 28th says the tracking. I guess in the mean time, while I wait for the ESC to arrive, I'll just clean up the truck and I pulled out my TRF415 on-road kit which I'm building up now. I'm ordering the lipo momentarily!

Order the battery! Since it was a paypal checkout and shipping was included in the price I wasn't able to select what shipping option to use so I'm not sure about delivery date. Hopefully it's not too long after the sidewinder gets here. Looks like a nice battery, it has the exact dimensions of a 6 cell pack too so that's nice. I might use it in my TRF415 occasionally for speed runs. I have my charging station all set up too. I'm using a computer powersupply for the 12V to the ICE charger and that'll be charging the battery while the Blinky balances the cells. For safety concerns I've put up aluminum sheeting on the shelf that I'm charging on and additionally I've set up a small fan to cool off the area as well as the battery will be in a liposack and all that will be in a sealed canister. I also have the temperature sensor for the ICE so that it stops charging if the battery gets too hot. All this is probably overkill, but rather safe than sorry. Better invest in a $20 liposack than burn down a several hundred thousand dollar house!

If you ordered directly from NeuMotors, then shipping could be anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks... depending on their stock status. I've ordered two separate times from them and one order was at my door in 48 hours. The other took about a week and a half.

Good luck with the build. It should be very fun when you're finished.

Got the truck today! It came with a few extras that I wasn't expecting. A bunch of spare parts (full set of a-arms, high downforce wing, extra proline body, all the nitro stuff)- this was all expected, but it came with the nitro tuned pipe (good for selling on ebay) and the short chassis too (another good one to sell). The truck looks like it's in good condition. I am going to take a lot of it apart, clean it thoroughly and build it back up, just for fun and as a way to get to know the chassis. I'll post up pics tomorrow.

okay battery is probably coming next week. I order it 3 days ago, but I only got the tracking info today and neu had only notified USPS that they would be dropping it off, so it'll probably ship out tomorrow and then it'll be 2-5 business days. Ah well, sidewinder comes tomorrow and then I can run it on my nimh pack. I'll see if I can borrow my dad's camera to take a video of it, my D40 doesn't do videos

Alright! I didn't have time to mess around with the truck much yesterday, but today I took a lot of it apart and cleaned it. The Proline Crowdpleaser body that came with the truck looks great! It just needs some trimming, it hasn't been run before. The jammin body is okay, but the trimming on it is bad and it was obviously a running body. The truck looks really good though. I'm happy with what I got. $185 shipped for the whole truck, plus a spare body, short chassis, nitro parts, medusa V2, battery mount, 645MG servo, a bunch of spare parts, high downforce wing, an extra set of wheels, and the RC monster electric motor mount. This is exactly what I was looking for, a cheap used roller, and this one even included the motor mount to boot. I might be able to post pics tonight, but I'm about to go out so I can't now.

hmm the ESC should have come today and I could have taken the truck out for a run using my 6-cell IB4200 pack, but no ESC! Fedex is really bad about updating their tracking so all I knew was the 4 days ago the ESC had been in California. I just checked it and it's in CT now, but I was hoping the estimated delivery would be correct and that it would be here today. Perhaps it'll come tomorrow.
