Thank you. When the engine gets broke in, and my son has a little practice on the camera, we will get a much better 3D video on here.

I just received mine today and I am very impressed with the way the motor is prepared and ready for an RC modeler.....setups for throttle and choke are ready, unlike many much higher priced motors, it also includes mounting hadrware, a mounting pattern guide, and more.......very impressive.....others should take notice....WC

The engine is still on its 1st gallon after about 10 flights on Cermark Yak54. We've been running APC 17x6 until today. There was a definite lack of available thrust to pull the plane out of trouble quickly. I put on a APC 18x6w and it became a completely different animal that is comfortable at any altitude. This is the prop that Steve recommended. I resisted until now but after seeing close to 9k rpm with 17x6, I was convinced that 18x6w would work well.

Well, it works better than well. [:D] I too would recommend this prop whole heatedly. 135g is a bit heavy compared to wooden prop. At some point, I will experiment with some wood. But, for now, I think I have found the prop for this motor and the plane.

It makes a range of maneuvers look better. [:D]

Another note. I did not weigh the MLD 28, but I had to rebalance my CG. All that I replaced was the engine, and ignition. I used the same mounts, and hardware. On a weight check, found that the plane is now 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 oz heavier. So ,the 28 does weigh a little more than the 26. The power gain, far out weighs the weight gain in my opinion.

I'm using a Vess 18x6. I've tried alot of different props, and none of them even come close to the Vess. The one closest in performance, is the APC 18x6W. But the vess spools quicker, weighs less, and pulls harder. Oh yeah, and it definately looks better.

Yes, AMSoil Sabre, 100:1.

You would think I work for Vess, but I dont. They are just the best props I have ever used. I will buy nothing else, except for testing new engines. Here is a better picture of one than you can get online.

After reading about the performance with the Vess prop I ordered a couple for my engine. I had my Local Hobby Shop order the engine a few weeks ago but I don't have it yet. They said there was a back order. I guess there are too many people saying how good they are. [sm=teeth_smile.gif]

I'm running Royal Purple at 1.4oz /gal, its just short of 100:1

I ditched Amsol in favor of this stuff.

have you done any long term wear test and power test. i don't know how accurate those results were i would almost have to verify myself but does it make better power that the amsoil performed.

well i flew my yak today after work and burned almost a 1/2 gal. all i can say is WOW! i was smiling the whole evening. this motor really pulls my 10# yak around. i was messing with the 3w 18/8 prop and it does swing it nicely but i think i will stick with the 18/6. this thing will accelerate on uplines and it is noticable![:D] this motor acts like theres no plane attached. i did a full throttle take off just to see what she would do and i kid you not i bet it wasn't even a 5' roll untill she was airborn. if this motor proves to be as durable as it is powerfull i just couldn't amagine a better choice of gas engines. i don't know if i will ever go back to glo.

My Brillelli has been running on it since early December. It picked up a couple of hundred RPM and the insides are a good bit cleaner.

Are you asking about the MLD 28 engine?
Champion 872 RDJ7Y , same plug supplied with the MLD 28
I used www.clubplug.net or Cermark, I could not find this plug at any of the engine shops in town.

Anything up to 8 volts is good without a regulator.
